I am a member of the ACE program in Nashville. ACE is a mentorship program for high school students interested in engineering and architecture. We meet 2x/month and work together as a team on a hands-on project that we present at the end of the year. My group mentor is Aymoi Akinlawon, https://www.greshamsmith.com
I was awarded an MBA Wilson grant in both my 7th and 8th grade years to study engineering for 2 weeks in the United Kingdom. In the summer of 2024, I attended the Immerse Education Engineering program for 13 to 15 years old at Queens College, University of Cambridge. The summer of 2025 I studied at the University College London with high school students 15 to 18 years old. I participated in the Immerse Education Career Insights Engineering program that allowed me to visit job sites to see what engineers do in real life. My favorite on-site visits were the Thames Barrier and the Gatwick Airport. I completed a project focused on a solution for transportation congestion in Nashville, TN.
